2(X)ist Apparel

Whether you’re running or recovering looking cute is always a must, right?

Well, 2(X)ist makes apparel that you can both lounge in post run and sweat in while you perform.

Their Square-Cut Tank is an everyday essential that is great for layering under a long sleeve or hoody.  It’s also super comfy to throw on after your soothing bath or shower while you refuel and #eatallthethings.

And the leggings, well they’re fab for athleisure! Since they are made of 100% moisture wicking fabric and designed with contrast compression, you can wear them on the run or while you recover! Plus they have hidden zip pockets for keys and cards- WIN!

Aside from being functional, the leggings are also quite fashionable too.  They’re designed with power mesh inserts that contour the calves and contrast piping that elongates the legs.

Last but not least let’s talk about FOOD!!! One of the most important and exciting things about recovery is all the yummy food you get to eat.  While it’s easy to reach for pizza and ice cream, what we refuel can make or break our training.

Choosing foods that help to fuel your hard worked muscles and aid in the recovery process is key.  Coconut oil, for example, can help to nourish our bodies and aid in muscular growth since it helps secrete insulin, which pumps nutrients into the muscles.  Plus it is pretty easy to digest and helps to boost your immune system since it has both antiviral and antibacterial properties.

So how do you incorporate into your post-run diet you ask? Well, there are many ways.  Throw a tablespoon in your smoothie or blend it with your coffee for a boost! You could also make these seriously amazing Spiced Sweet Potato Recovery Fries too!

These sweet potato recovery fries are made with turmeric and cinnamon which have anti-inflammatory properties to help you refuel and recover quicker. The sweet potatoes themselves also offer amazing benefits since they are a great source of complex carbohydrate, beta-carotene, manganese, vitamin B6 and C as well as dietary fiber. Grab the recipe for these sweet potato fries along with other recipes to fuel with on TheFitFoodieMama.com
