Active Nation Day with Lorna Jane!

Lorna Jane Active Nation Day On Sunday, September 28th I will be joining the rest of my sporty sisters to celebrate Active Nation Day! It may be with some recovery yoga since it is the day after Ragnar but I will still be participating! 😉 So, what is it you ask? Active Nation Day is a movement created by Lorna Jane in 2012 to encourage women to live active and authentic lives.  This year marks the movements global debut where events will be hosted all over the world to celebrate! Active Nation Day #LornaJane #SweatPink

If you’re lucky enough to live in or near one of the US locations hosting the event you will be able to join in by taking a 45 minute long MOVE class starting at 8am that incorporates a fusion of aerobics, yoga and body strength exercises to work your body.  This fun sweat sesh is followed by the opportunity to browse through the MNB (Move Nourish Believe) Market where you will be able to try out some delicious treats from the NOURISH Cookbook, hydrate with coconut water and nut milks and even a DIY organic beauty bar! SOOO jealous! 

Unfortunately, I don’t live anywhere near any of the US locations and I am sure most of you don’t either.  Have no fear, there are still ways you can get involved that are just as fun! One interactive way to get involved is by downloading the Lorna Jane App!

This app is seriously filled with awesomeness to keep you active and inspired.  It is split up into three sections; MOVE, NOURISH and BELIEVE.  In the MOVE section you can pick from a variety of activities to log and track.  The best part is that Lorna Jane talk to you and encourages you along the way! I even earned a badge for running! The NOURISH section is full of recipes that are all super healthy you can even save them and share on Facebook! In the BELIEVE section you will find tons of inspiring and visually motivating quotes to keep you movin! Here is a gallery of screenshots I took on my phone to give you an idea of just how great it is!

The app is available through both iTunes and the Google Play store! Make sure to track your activity on the 28th so that you can unlock the Active Nation Day Badge! It is a wonderful resource to keep you moving on #ActiveNationDay and beyond!Active Nation Day

Another way you can get involved is by doing the #LJMove! It is really quite simple to do.  First take your right arm vertical and left arm horizontal then quickly switch positions so your left arm is vertical and your right arm is horizontal then bend your elbow and clench your fist!
