Avocadough: Guilt Free Tasty Treats {+ Giveaway}

Avocadough

Most of us like to enjoy  a treat from time to time though some of us have a sweet tooth that is a little stronger than others.  I myself fall into the aforementioned category; I rarely eat sweets but I do crave a bite from time to time though I will only enjoy it if it fits into my dietary needs.  Tracie Long fits into the latter category; she’s always possessed an insatiable sweet tooth and has a passion for baking.

Recognizing the need to eat healthier due to a history of family heart disease and her own desire to fuel her body with real foods, Tracie decided to use her baking talent and reimagined her favorite tasty treats.  After making some modifications and discovering avocado works as the perfect sub for fats, she began to use it as a staple in her creations thus Avocadough was born.

Between Tracie as the CBO (Chief Baking Officer) and the input of her research of development team (her hubby and kids), they have come up with a host of approved cookies, brownies and bars that are FREE of hydrogenated oils, preservatives, added colors, artificial flavors and synthetic substances.

Lucky enough for me, Tracie lives not too far away and agreed to let me try some of her amazing avocado creations!

Fork2Fit and Avocadough

You may have seen this DROOL WORTHY vegan and gluten free fudge brownie that I featured when taking about Fork2Fit, who Avocadough partners with.

I was also sent a variety of her other treats to try out including this amazing gluten free Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie….I took a bite out of it first before photographing because I simply couldn’t help myself 😉

Just one more treat to feast your eyes on then I will stop teasing you, promise!

Avocadough Chocolate Raspberry Bar

This is the vegan and gluten free Chocolate Raspberry Bar and it is amazing especially topped with those crunchy walnuts!

Avocadough also has a variety of other guiltless, healthy treats available that range from “Peanut Butter Me Up” cookies in the Classic Cookies section to “Cran You Handle It” Cookies in the Premium Cookies section though it should be noted that they are not all gluten free.  All of the cookies that are specifically dedicated to being gluten free, vegan and Paleo can be found in the Special Diet Cookie Varieties section in the online store.

You can also find Avocadough treats locally in Syracuse at a number of different locations including: Fork2Fit, Natur-Tyme, Urban Life Athletics, Green Planet Groceries and LoFo- Love Food in Armory Square.

If you’re not local, you can still enjoy Avocadough by ordering through their online store and you can also enter the giveaway below for your chance to win a sample pack of guiltless treats PLUS an Avocadough t-shirt!

Um These sound awesome! I made a fantastic avocado mousse a few years ago, and was literally obsessed with it, made more, put it in the freezer, but then it just sat there! I still don't know why, lol.

This looks awesome! <3 I love anything avocado-related (+ that shirt is so cute, haha). I've made bread with avocado before + I tried making that chocolate "pudding" with avocado, but that's as far as my avocado sweet treat experimentation has gone!

Not only is the name fun, the photos of the food look tantalizingly tasty, I'm drooling! I love, LOVE using avocado as a substitute, and by that I mean I only ever made this "freezer fudge" that Suz at Suz Lyfe referenced in her comment! Unfortunately avocado is a high FODMAP so I have to limit my intake, therefore, when it's in baked foods I go hog wild cause I have a sweet tooth and am very sorry....but maybe if I could portion control myself these would be FAB
