Black Forest Isopure Recovery Smoothie


A few weeks ago I shared with you how I was given the opportunity to try out Isopure’s BCAA powder.  The powder combines the BCAA’s along with Tart Cherry to speed up recovery along with L-Theanine which has a calming effect.  These combination of ingredients make it possible for you to recover quicker and train harder the next day all while building muscle.

What I really like about this formula is the fact that it includes Tart Cherry which makes it different from a lot of other BCAA’s on the market.  Tart Cherry has a lot of benefits and acts an an anti-inflammatory which helps speed up recovery after a hard workout. 

When I originally posted my review, I hadn’t been using it long enough to say if I noticed any difference but since then I’ve been incorporating it into my smoothies post workout and have definitely noticed a difference.  

It honestly tastes okay on it’s own but personally I really enjoy it best in a smoothie…keep in mind that I’m a little smoothie obsessed though.  It’s just such a convenient, quick and easy way to refuel. 

I’ve enjoy this powder in a few different smoothie variations but my favorite combination is blending the Isopure Alpine Punch BCAA powder with frozen cherries and chocolate protein.

 Seriously, it’s amazing and hits the spot after a grueling sweat sesh.  Also tastes like dessert so it’s a win-win.

This smoothie is a delicious recovery combo that really gives you lots of bang for your buck.  The frozen cherries add an extra recovery boost, the chocolate protein powder acts as an anti-inflammatory while helping to build muscle and the Isopure Alpine Punch Aminos give it a burst of extra flavor and a formula full of everything you need to recover quicker.

Black Forest Isopure Recovery Smoothie


 

RECIPE

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 cups non dairy milk (almond, rice, coconut)
  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 1 scoop Isopure Alpine Punch Aminos
  • 1 scoop vegan chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tbsp dairy free chocolate chunks or chips (optional)

 

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except chocolate chunks into a blender and blend until smooth. 
  2. Pour into glass and sprinkle with chocolate chunks if desired. 
  3. Enjoy!
