Puritan's Pride Seasonal Smoothie Campaign

I know that it has been November now for almost 2 weeks but seriously, when did this happen and how is it almost Christmas time?  Just in case you haven’t been paying close attention there are exactly 16 days until Thanksgiving which for most of us means the start of a one month period of indulgence that we later curse and promise to swear off sweets, alcohol and trans-fats.

While I can’t provide a recipe for a magical potion for making good dietary choices, I can give you a smoothie recipe that will help soothe your belly and boost your immunity in case you do over do it. Thankfully, I am teaming up with Puritan’s Pride again this month for their seasonal smoothie campaign and they have sent me the perfect ingredients to make this possible.  Puritan's Pride November Seasonal Smoothie Giveaway

Myology Whey Protein Isolate Chocolate: Superior nourishment designed for those who only want the best in a nutritional drink.  It provides all of the benefits Whey is known for and more by carefully removing more of the fat and lactose that you don’t need while increasing the percentage of aminos as compared to regular whey concentrate. (95% lactose free)

Eclectic Institute Raw Kale Powder: This product is made from fresh, whole, raw kale and custom freeze-dried. Freeze drying is the best method for preserving the complex chemistry, active enzyme and entire matrix of a plant in its fresh form.

Puritan’s Pride Psyllium Husk Seed 100% Natural: Psyllium Husk: is rich in soluble fiber, to keep your digestive tract moving smoothly.* Fiber naturally slows down digestion, making it possible for your body to absorb more nutrients. Plus, the fiber in Psyllium Husk Seed Powder helps your body eliminate what it doesn’t use, making for a cleaner colon.*

If you’d like to try any of these Puritan Pride products you can get $5 off a $25 order plus free shipping by using any of the links above! Yippie! Now, onto the yummy smoothie part of the post.

Choco-Berry Blast Smoothie #PuritiansPride #SeasonalSmoothie #SweatPinkAt first glance of the ingredients you might question how all of these flavors would blend together, especially the Emergen C.  However, since the pysllium husk is pretty much flavorless and the kale powder blends in easily, the berry flavor of the Emergen C and with the addition of frozen blueberries really gives this chocolate protein smoothie a nice fruity blast!

Aside from the yummy flavor, the combination of blueberries and chocolate are a great source of antioxidants as well as the kale which is also a great source of fiber along with the pysllium.  The Emergen C takes the smoothie to the next level and adds a boost to help support immunity.  Mixing the Emergen C in also adds a little carbonation to the smoothie so don’t be surprised when you take your first sip and along with the blast of flavor you get a hint of fizz! 😉

Wow - your smoothies are SO much more sophisticated than mine! I usually just use fruit, some greens and yogurt. This sounds really great though!

our smoothies are very similar again :) I've never tried bee pollen, though. Does it taste like honey?

Great minds think alike ;) Yes, the bee pollen does taste a lot like little nuggets of honey. In fact, my hubby said that after he tried some last night!
