 For the month of October I felt it was only appropriate to make a pumpkin smoothie! Pumpkins have ton of health benefits that you may not know about.  They are chock full of vitamin A which boosts immunity and aids in eye health.  They are also high in potassium which is great for refueling after a hard workout and they’re high in fiber! The pumpkin seeds even boast a variety of health benefits and can reduce cholesterol and even boost your mood! Woohoo! 😀 

Even though pumpkin is a superfood by itself, I took this smoothie to the next level by adding cacao powder, the superior greens- which taste pretty awesome by the way, protein powder and my secret ingredient; pumpkin. spice. tea.  Heck yeah! (How many grammar felonies did I commit in that sentence? Don’t know.  Don’t care). Instructions
  1. Blend all ingredients together except seeds and nibs.
  2. Pour into large glass and top with pumpkin seeds and cacao nibs.
  3. Enjoy! :)

You could even add the Barney Almond Butter in there for added creaminess and exchange the cacao powder for carob powder which makes a great substitute if you’re sensitive to cocoa/cacao.
