 For the month of October I felt it was only appropriate to make a pumpkin smoothie! Pumpkins have ton of health benefits that you may not know about.  They are chock full of vitamin A which boosts immunity and aids in eye health.  They are also high in potassium which is great for refueling after a hard workout and they’re high in fiber! Even though pumpkin is a superfood by itself, I took this smoothie to the next level by adding cacao powder, the superior greens- which taste pretty awesome by the way, protein powder and my secret ingredient; pumpkin. spice. tea.  Heck yeah! (How many grammar felonies did I commit in that sentence? Don’t know.  Don’t care).   1. Blend all ingredients together except seeds and nibs.
  2. Pour into large glass and top with pumpkin seeds and cacao nibs.
  3. Enjoy! :)

Well, besides the obvious pumpkin and acorn/butternut squash, I always think of the start of hearty food season. Like a good mushroom stroganoff; now THAT's autumn! I also feel like nuts are super fall foods. Ditch the dried pineapple and mix 'em with cranberries and you have a sort-of deconstructed fall treat! MMMF.
