Fit’n’Fashionable: Spring into Sports Bras

Rumor has it that Spring is one month + 2 days away though I am not sure I believe it since the average temp in Central New York for the last several weeks is approximately 10ish degrees.

Central New York Weather Forecast

Seriously, this is our 7 day forecast.  Oh look! It spikes up to 38 degrees this weekend…that’s shorts weather round these parts 😉 Or maybe even sports bra weather? HA! Just kidding…but I am going to keep thinking warm thoughts so maybe there is a chance sometime soon that I can rock one without 4 layers on top.

Speaking wishful thinking, I browsing the other day looking to add to my sports bra collection and came across a few that I wanted to share.  They are all blue but very bright and spring-like in my opinion.

For whatever reason, I have colors that I associate with certain months.  I know we are still in February but in my mind, I am thinking ahead to March since it’s the start of Spring.  The month of March makes me think of aqua since aquamarine is the birthstone. I really only know this because both of my kids are March babies 😉

Anyway, in honor of Spring, March and March babies, here are four super stylish aquamarine sports bras that are sure to banish the “winter blues”!

Spring into Sports Bras via @FitFoodieMama | Lorna Jane, Swoob, Soybu, Kohls

In order from top left to right bottom:

Fit Girl Bra by Lorna Jane: They refer to this as Mediterranean and is a maximum support bra meaning that is is perfect for running or other high intensity training activities.  It is also quick drying and breathable with adjustable straps and removable padding. It would be cute to wear under a tank for a pop of color or alone if you’re feeling bold.  The bra sells for $65.99

Swoob Idona Racerback Pocket Sports Bra: What says warm weather better than the color name Bali Turquoise? I can almost feel the sun shining with a name like that.  Aside from a tropical name, this Swoob bra is not only a pouch for your perky pair but also boasts three interior pockets so you can store your phone, keys, fuel or whatever else comes to mind.  This bra is great for high impact activities like running and sells for $40.00.

Levity Bra by Soybu: Appropriately named Mykonos, this low impact bra is perfect for tranquil activities like yoga, pilates or just to throw on to look cute.  It comes with removable padding and is made of breathable, stretchable fabric as well as wrinkle resistant.  It sells for $40.00

Lupo Bra from Kohls: While this one doesn’t have some fancy beachy name, the Raia Striped Seamless Bra is medium impact and super cute! It is also made of moisture wicking and antimicrobial fabric.  It is also tag free (bonus!) and only $36.00!

Questions I am currently pondering….

Which of those bras is your favorite? Does anyone else associate months with colors or I am just that strange? Who else is ready for Spring?

LOL ABOUT THE SNACK IN THE SPORTS BRA - don't think I could do that...even if it was wrapped, I'd melt the snack with my sweat! But i'm with you on the whole cold front, where is the warm weather?!

Haha I don't think I could store straight up food in there either but maybe some packaged fuel of sorts or my phone :P I have NO IDEA where the warm weather is...though this is mean, I am happy you are living in frigid misery with me here ;)

Even though it's not nearly anywhere as cold here, I am SO ready for spring. It looks like turquoise is the IT color!

Sadly I don't think I can wear any of those bras! I have some "D" girls and it's really hard to find enough support from those cute little bras. I am on a quest myself!

Girl, I am SO ready for spring. We haven't had it as bad as you, but it's been pretty rough here for a few weeks. Love the color of the bras. I have to be honest, I don't spend much on my sports bras. I love the Target Champion brand!

It has been a rough winter....these terrible temps and all this snow is just starting to get depressing. I haven't check out the Target bras- I will definitely have to take a look next time I'm there!

Did you say Spring? It seems to be no where in sight over her in Michigan. Sigh. Those sports bras look cute. I currently wear moving comfort.

Ugh- I am sure you can feel my pain since you're living in Michigan. This "Arctic Assault" is killing me! I haven't heard of moving comfort- I will have to look into those! :)

those are super cute but not for me- LOL! I shop in the maximum support group :) I do have a cute pastel green one from Lorna Jane that I can wear to yoga and it makes me think of Spring. It is even cold here today! Stay warm!!!

I love the LJ sports bras, I do wish they were a bit cheaper though! I hope you're staying warm too- maybe this will be the last blast of cold air before Spring?! :)

I like the stripped one. Super cute. Someday I'll be fit enough to workout in just a sports bra!

But the pocket one?? Looks very uncomfortable. Plus I would never put my phone like that; no need to increase my chance of breast cancer.

You know, that is a really good point. I didn't think about that. I usually run with a fuel belt so my phone is always at my hips.

I love love love these shades of blue!! I think the low-impact one is my favorite because of the cute pattern. I need to shop for some new sports bras soon and I'm weirdly looking forward to it. :) I guess I'm just addicted to activewear.

I am absolutely addicted to activewear...it is pretty much the only kind of clothes in my wardrobe. If you like the Soybu bra you should check out their Mykonos line...they have that pattern in tops and leggings too!

I once (in my very early running days) stuck a gu in my sports bra b/c I had no where else to put it. Terrible idea. terrible idea.
Those corners are not soft!

I've never tried any of these but the Lopo Bra is really cute! I've been wearing the Victoria's Secret Front Zipper sports bra's. They are really comfy and super easy to put on/off :-)

Ahh, that Swoob bra looks awesome - I love that it has pockets. I haven't yet bought a workout case for my phone, so I've been resorting to sticking it in the side of my pants. Not comfy! Great review :)

I am very much disliking this weather, and should probably have invested in a shovel. ;_; I spent yesterday morning kicking down the mountain of snow that got piled behind my car (thanks a lot, snow plow people!). :'( I'm totally with you on the wishful thinking! Those sports bras are so cute! :]

Blue is my favorite color, so I would love to order 1 of each of these, lol! I think my favorite is the Fit Girl one. Super cute! I usually buy CP (budget friendly) or Victoria's Secret (super supportive & nice shape) sports bras.
