Fit’n’Fashionable: Stylish Running Sunglasses
The days are getting warmer (finally) and the sun is shining (hello friend, it’s been a while) which means that I get to start running outside again. After being trapped on the treadmill for the past 6 months, I can finally resume my favorite pastime: running with the sunrise and sunset.
One essential accessory you need if you’re going to be running with the sun in your eyes is sunglasses, of course. Other than my Mio heart rate monitor and Garmin GPS, they are the one thing I almost never leave for a run without.
I personally find them necessary for safety purposes (don’t wanna get blinded by the light) plus they help keep the sweat out of my eyes, I can’t stand that feeling…it buuuuurns.
Just because I need them to be functional, doesn’t mean they can’t be fashionable! I currently have a pair of Bolle’s that I wear but am in the market for another pair. I mean, a girl can never have TOO many pairs of sunglasses plus a backup pair in case I lose/break them would be nice.
Here are the ones I’ve been looking at, they range in price anywhere from $35 to $165 dollars. Now, I just have to choose one…all while pretending that money isn’t a factor, that is.
Here are the ones that I already own:
Bolle Anaconda Sunglasses: I love these sunglasses, I really, really do! Not only do they eliminate glare they are also scratch resistant, polarized, and offer 100% UV protection. They sell for $65.54 + shipping on Amazon.
And the ones I am currently contemplating:
TiFosi Women’s Lust Sunglasses: These have a little bit more flare than the ones I currently own and also offer 100% UV protection but unlike mine, they are non-polarized. They sell for $39.95 also on Amazon.
Nike Run X2 S Sunglasses: These sunglasses have a sportier look with the grey/silver and sea plastic frame and unpolarized lenses. They sell for $39.95 on Amazon and are also available in a variety of other colors, though prices vary depending on selection.
Nike Racer Sunglasses: At first glance, you might think these sunglasses are designer, which is what I really like about them. The tortoise frame features a sport wrap design, have a nose bridge grip and offer 100% UV Protection. They sell for $88.95 + $5 shipping on Amazon and are also available in other colors.
Nike Grey with Silver Flash Excellerate Sunglasses in Magenta/Red Violet Sport : Made for women with smaller faces (that would be me), these sunglasses feature a wrap design, adjustable rubber nose, and lightweight nylon frame. They sell for $114.67 on Amazon though prices vary depending on color selection.
Oakley RPM Squared Polarized Sunglasses in Chocolate Sin: Last but certainly not least, cost wise that is, are these Oakley sunglasses are made of a Plutonite lens, offer impact and 100% UV protection. They are available on Amazon for $165.
SO the question remains, which one should I pick?
Which one would you pick?
Do you have any other suggestions for me?
