Foodie Friday: Gluten Free Crockpot Recipes for When Don’t Feel Like Cooking

Welcome back to our weekly Foodie Friday link up! I’m linking up with Farrah from Fairyburger, Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl and Jess from Hello to Fit.  Also, make sure you hop around to check out all the amazing recipes in this link up and feel free to add your recipes as well!

Hello, my fit foodie friends! I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving if you celebrated and were able to spend time with family, relax and of course, stuff yo’ face! Personally, I had a fabulous day …actually day and a half since I kinda took the day before off from social media/blogging too!

Wednesday afternoon I took some time for myself and finally got a much needed manicure and pedicure then did something that I haven’t done in over a year…. I read an entire book COVER TO COVER just for the heck of it! Well…it was more so because I couldn’t put it down, it was a page turner for sure.  If you’re looking for a book to read and you like crime fiction then definitely check out The Good Girl– I promise you’ll LOVE it!

Yesterday I got in my quick DVRT Turkey Burner Workout in the AM then the rest of the day was mostly spent prepping for our Thanksgiving feast and spending some time quality time with my family.

With my day of self indulgence on Wednesday and all the feasting yesterday, I didn’t exactly have time to make a new recipe to share.  I did think ahead, however and since our theme is “kitchen contraptions” this week, I decided to reach out to my fellow FitFluential Ambassadors and ask them to share their favorite crockpot recipes!

What I love about recipes made in the crockpot is that they take little to no time to make and you can literally do so many other things while they’re cooking.  Like go to work, clean the house, blog….read a book 😉

Each of these recipes honestly look amazing and I can’t wait to try them out- probably tonight since I’m not really in the mood to cook after yesterday.  Thanks again to all my amazing FitFluential foodie friends for letting me share!

My goal this winter is to use my crock pot and slowcooker. I've had it since the wedding and I've NEVER used it. I'm a failure at life.

I don't feel like cooking either :P Hope you have a great weekend!

I need to pull out our crock-pot to get us through the next few weeks of remodel since it has been extended by a week and with my emotions and stress running high we need good food. There will be a week we can't use the kitchen or main level at all but now being extended through days before Christmas because a contractor messed up I need some good comfort food. Any chance you have a crock-pot Christmas cookie recipe?... Hoping to actually borrow a friends or family members kitchen for those and there have been offers but it just isn't the same.
Hope you have a great weekend and stay warm, thanks again for the inspiration!

Oh goodness, sounds like it has been crazy for you! Sorry to hear that the contractor messed up - I know the pain, I have been there a few times! I don't have a crockpot cookie recipe but that is definitely a great idea!!!

Crockpots are one of my favorite kitchen contraptions too. :]! My rice cooker is a little more travel-friendly than my crockpot though, so I opted for that this time around.

I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving! These recipes sound delicious! :D I'm definitely eyeing that BBQ Chicken Quinoa! *-*
