Foodie Friday: Most Pinned Recipes of 2015

Last week I shared with you a list of deliciously easy gluten free crockpot recipes from all my FitFluential foodie friends.  This week, I am going to share my top recipes from this past year since our theme today is “Recipe Roundup!” 

I chose to highlight my top five most pinned recipes!

Interestingly enough, my top five most popular varied a little bit from my most pinned. In fact, my most popular recipe post of all was generated through search engine terms and NOT by Pinterest. Actually, it wasn’t even my recipe! It was a copycat!

I have to say that when I posted this recipe I didn’t expect it to be my most popular of them all.  I don’t usually do “copy cat” recipes but apparently I should be doing more! It’s one of my tops pins on Pinterest and one of the most searched for terms that generate traffic to my blog.  So I guess it goes without saying that you can expect more “copy cat” recipes in the near future!

Not surprisingly, this recipe was my second most popular though it only really gained traction toward the end of the year.  I actually made it over a year ago and reposted it recently at which point it got the attention of Prevention Magazine and was shared as part of their “Meatless Meatball” article! A very exciting and proud moment for me as a food blogger- definitely a highlight of my year! :)

While my food photography on this one was a little sub-par, I am not surprised in the least that this recipe was my third most popular of the year.  I mean, it has pumpkin in it (YUM) and coconut and curry make such a delicious combination it’s like they were made for each other.  Definitely a recipe I’d make all year round.

This seasonal Strawberry Fields Salad also had a moment during the summer months making it the 4th most popular recipe on the blog and what’s not to love? It’s fresh, juicy and drizzled with heavenly balsamic glaze.  I’m going to guess that once spring comes back around this salad will enjoy some more time in the spotlight again!

Last but certainly not least, a treat! These Double Chocolate Sweet Potato Brownies are probably one of my most favorite sweet treats I have EVER made for the blog.  I seriously love these things and they’re so simple to make that it’s almost silly.  Oh and they’re super healthy too because they’re made with pretty much just sweet potatoes and chocolate protein powder! Actually, now that I’m looking at them again I think I might need to make a pan… šŸ˜€
