Foodie Friday: Most Pinned Recipes of 2015

Welcome back to our weekly Foodie Friday link up! I’m linking up with Farrah from Fairyburger, Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl and Jess from Hello to Fit.  Also, make sure you hop around to check out all the amazing recipes in this link up and feel free to add your recipes as well!

Last week I shared with you a list of deliciously easy gluten free crockpot recipes from all my FitFluential foodie friends.  This week, I am going to share my top recipes from this past year since our theme today is “Recipe Roundup!”

I chose to highlight my top five most pinned recipes!

Most Pinned Recipes from @FitFoodieMama for 2015. Mushroom and Black Bean "Meatballs", Paleo Sweet Potato Sliders, Vegan and Gluten Free Sweet Potato Brownies, Strawberry Fields Salad

Interestingly enough, my top five most popular varied a little bit from my most pinned. In fact, my most popular recipe post of all was generated through search engine terms and NOT by Pinterest. Actually, it wasn’t even my recipe! It was a copycat!

Panera CopyCat Quinoa Lentil Broth Bowl with Chicken

I have to say that when I posted this recipe I didn’t expect it to be my most popular of them all.  I don’t usually do “copy cat” recipes but apparently I should be doing more! It’s one of my tops pins on Pinterest and one of the most searched for terms that generate traffic to my blog.  So I guess it goes without saying that you can expect more “copy cat” recipes in the near future!

Mushroom Black Bean "Meatballs"

Mushroom & Black Bean “Meatballs”

Not surprisingly, this recipe was my second most popular though it only really gained traction toward the end of the year.  I actually made it over a year ago and reposted it recently at which point it got the attention of Prevention Magazine and was shared as part of their “Meatless Meatball” article! A very exciting and proud moment for me as a food blogger- definitely a highlight of my year! :)

While my food photography on this one was a little sub-par, I am not surprised in the least that this recipe was my third most popular of the year.  I mean, it has pumpkin in it (YUM) and coconut and curry make such a delicious combination it’s like they were made for each other.  Definitely a recipe I’d make all year round.

Strawberry Fields Salad made with blueberries and avocado

Strawberry Fields Salad

This seasonal Strawberry Fields Salad also had a moment during the summer months making it the 4th most popular recipe on the blog and what’s not to love? It’s fresh, juicy and drizzled with heavenly balsamic glaze.  I’m going to guess that once spring comes back around this salad will enjoy some more time in the spotlight again!

Vegan and Gluten Free Double Chocolate Sweet Potato Brownies

Double Chocolate Sweet Potato Brownies

Last but certainly not least, a treat! These Double Chocolate Sweet Potato Brownies are probably one of my most favorite sweet treats I have EVER made for the blog.  I seriously love these things and they’re so simple to make that it’s almost silly.  Oh and they’re super healthy too because they’re made with pretty much just sweet potatoes and chocolate protein powder! Actually, now that I’m looking at them again I think I might need to make a pan… 😀

Don’t forget to linkup if you have a recipe to share!

What a year of deliciousness! My most popular recipe (pin wise) far and away is my copycat Panera broth bowl. I wish that any of my other recipes got some love!
