Gevalia Iced Coffee With Almond Milk: Lactose Free + Refreshing
I participated in an Ambassador Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Gevalia Iced Coffee with Almond Milk. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
Anyone that knows me, knows that I love coffee. I literally cannot function without it and if you ever come across me early in the morn and I don’t have a cup of coffee in my hand….you better run.
When I drink my hot coffee, I like it black- no creamer, no sugar just fresh brewed and black. When I enjoy an iced coffee though, that is a different story. For whatever reason, black iced coffee gives me heartburn like you wouldn’t believe so I typically drink my iced coffee with a little bit of non-dairy milk though I haven’t enjoyed it in quite some time.
So when I was given the opportunity to try out Gevalia Iced Coffee With Almond Milk, I was all for it!
Gevalia Iced Coffee with Almond Milk is made with 100% Arabica Gevalia Coffee, almond milk and protein, and real sugar.
It is available in three flavors: Caramel, Vanilla and Mocha that come in two different sizes, 11.1 oz single serve and 33.8 oz multi-serving size packaged in recyclable Tetra-Pak Packaging.
Not only are each of these flavors lactose free but each 11.1 oz serving contains 9 grams of protein, which makes for a yummy choice especially post workout on a hot summer day!
The first flavor that I tried out was the Vanilla since that is what I would typically order if I were to buy it on the go.
I put it in a glass for picture purposes but I should clarify that this iced coffee deliciousness can be enjoyed just as easy in the carton- just make sure it’s chilled and give it a shaky-shake!
So, back to the taste testing. It was certainly heaven at first sip! I mean, what’s not to love about the combo of rich Gevalia Arabica coffee, lactose free almond milk and the decadent taste of vanilla?
The other two flavors, Mocha and Caramel were equally delicious, if I had to buy the 33.8 oz carton to have all to myself, I’d probably choose the Vanilla. That is just my personal preference when it comes to coffee though…vanilla is my jam.
If I had to pick out anything to critique, it might be that it has more sugar than I am used to putting in my coffee. It actually isn’t overly sweet to the taste and has a nice, smooth and bold coffee flavor so if you like your coffee with a little bit of sugar, then you’d certainly enjoy this.
Aside from Gevalia Iced Coffee with Almond Milk being lactose free, the one thing I am really impressed with is how balanced and delicious they made it taste.
I have attempted to make my own iced coffee with almond milk before and have never enjoyed the results but this iced coffee was not bitter or bland…and if Goldilocks were to taste it, she’d say it was just right! 😉
Gevalia Iced Coffee With Almond Milk is available in all grocery stores, the 11.1 oz carton retails for $2.19 and the the 33.8 oz carton retails for $4.99.
