Gluten Free Finger Foods for the Holidays


I am not entirely sure how this year flew by so quickly but it happened in a blink and in just a few short weeks, the holiday season will be in full swing. 

I am pretty sure I was in total denial that it was even November until this past week or so.  The weather here has been unseasonably warm – in fact, up until Halloween, it was like 70 degrees outside.  Then, all the sudden, it was like someone flipped a switch and it became fall. 

I think it also hit me that “winter is coming” when I took a trip up to the Adirondacks this past weekend.  I actually went up there to bring my kids to the North Pole “Santa’s Workshop” but once we got up there we realized it was CLOSED.  Huge bummer (it used to be open year round) but we made the most of our trip which included a stay in a cozy cabin complete with a fire to keep the chill out.  

While the afternoons were mild, the mornings were quite nippy and by nippy I mean a cool 25 degrees.  That didn’t stop me from getting a run in though, which I practically had to force myself to do but the views were SO worth it.  

Anyway, it was on my run (while I was trying to warm up) that I realized that winter was in fact, coming and I needed to start prepping menu ideas for Thanksgiving which I happen to host.  I toyed around with the idea of making something new to share but we were greeting with a massive rain/thunderstorm once we arrived home so I decided to round up a few of my favorite recipes instead :)
