Hemp Heart Bites: Portable & Perfect for On-The-Go Snacking!

Since figuring out that I have histamine intolerance, I have been on a mission to find a snack that fits the low histamine diet bill.  Unfortunately, pretty much everything is off limits during the elimination phase (including nuts…though that has been pretty hard to give up) but the one thing that I have been able to snack on is hemp hearts!!!

I have literally been adding them to everything…smoothies, salad, cereal and on my honey toast. I was actually contemplating making a snack recipe out of them just so I could enjoy them in an on-the-go fashion.

Then, as fate would have it, I was given the opportunity to review Manitoba Harvest’s new Hemp Heart Bites. Ironic, huh? Needless to say, I was excited to give them a try!

So delicious, that even my kids enjoy snacking on them especially after a day of play and practicing soccer skills for the upcoming season.

Aaaand, they are pretty much all gone.  Good thing I ordered a case to stock up (and coincidentally won a case as well) so that I can have them on hand when school officially starts next week.
