Low Sugar, High Protein Granola Recipes


I mentioned before that I go in food phases.  There are stretches where I am all about eggs and weeks where I am all about smoothies but then there are days when all I am craving is some healthy, homemade granola. 

I honestly refuse to eat anything BUT homemade granola.  Most of the ones that you find in the store are LOADED with sugar and just plain unhealthy.  About a year or so ago, I decided to try my hand at making it myself so I could eat it without ingesting 50 grams of unnecessary sugar all before 7 AM.  

I honestly wasn’t sure how it would turn out, I figured it might taste bland or boring.  Thankfully, it turned out AMAZING and it also happens to be oil free, gluten free, dairy free and SUPER easy AND allergy friendly! :) 

They’re also all packed with some added protein since my secret ingredient to making them sweet (and healthy) is plant based protein powder.  I guess when it comes down to it, I can’t help adding some protein powder when I can.  From smoothies to muffins to granola, it’s kinda my jam.
