Low Sugar, High Protein Granola Recipes
I mentioned before that I go in food phases. There are stretches where I am all about eggs and weeks where I am all about smoothies but then there are days when all I am craving is some healthy, homemade granola.
I honestly refuse to eat anything BUT homemade granola. Most of the ones that you find in the store are LOADED with sugar and just plain unhealthy. About a year or so ago, I decided to try my hand at making it myself so I could eat it without ingesting 50 grams of unnecessary sugar all before 7 AM.
I honestly wasn’t sure how it would turn out, I figured it might taste bland or boring. Thankfully, it turned out AMAZING and it also happens to be oil free, gluten free, dairy free and SUPER easy AND allergy friendly!
They’re also all packed with some added protein since my secret ingredient to making them sweet (and healthy) is plant based protein powder. I guess when it comes down to it, I can’t help adding some protein powder when I can. From smoothies to muffins to granola, it’s kinda my jam.
Here are a few of my favorite variations so far…
Don’t be surprised if you see a few more granola flavors here soon…I’ve been having a hankering for some and now that my kitchen is nearly done, I’ll have a new space to be inspired to whip some up!
