Meatless Monday: Gluten, Dairy + Soy Free Fit Foodie Finds


Happy Meatless Monday! Before I get started on all my meatless finds, I’d like to shoutout to all my fabulous guest posters from last week! I am actually still making my way back home from my trip so no new recipe today but I do want to quickly share with you some of my meatless foodie finds from Blogfest/IDEA World! 

Meatless, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Gluten Free Foodie Finds from IDEA World + Blogfest

As some of you might know, my adventure to LA began with a drive down to NYC so I could make the trip to Blogfest with Ms. Fitful Focus

While in NYC, I had the opportunity to stop by the Monday Campaign Headquarters and hang out with Vanessa from the Meatless Monday campaign and learn more about what they do, how they work and how the meatless monday mission came about.

I had a blast hanging out at their office and even briefly considered moving to NYC just so I could work with them in person…they are that cool, super fun and full of brilliant ideas! 

Anyway, since I’ve been on-the-go since last Monday (this past week went by way too fast), I didn’t have time to create a new recipe to share.  Instead, I’m just going to share with you all the fabulous, yummy, meatless and gluten/dairy/soy free foods that I discovered at IDEA World! 

Actually, that is a lie.  The first delicious find I came across was actually at the JFK airport.

VIGILANT EATS

Vigilant Eats, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Dairy Free

Vigilant Eats is an “add water/milk” superfood oatmeal and is absolutely DELICIOUS.  The best part? You can add either hot or cold liquid to it, no need to heat! Oh and it comes with a spoon…I only discovered that after bothering the flight attendant for one several times. #Oops.

These other foodie finds are all from the IDEA World Expo.  Pretty sure I stopped by each of these booths for a sample twice- working out multiple times a day makes one very hangry! 😉

DAIYA CHEESE: GLUTEN, DAIRY, SOY FREE

Daiya Foods, Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free

First up, Daiya Foods! Dairy free and soy free cheese?! YES PLEASE! I only recently tried Daiya in the last few months (stores up in my neck of the woods don’t typically carry it) and honestly, it is the best dairy free cheese I’ve ever tried. 

At the booth they had both dairy free and gluten free tortillas to samples plus these meatless Beyond Meat Beast Burgers made with non-GMO pea protein topped with some Daiya cheese melted on top….oh. my. yum.  SO GOOD!

I also got to check out some new products from Health Warrior including their new protein bars.  You literally have no idea how excited I was to discover that Health Warrior not makes protein bars.  I have been on the search for a real food protein bar that is gluten, dairy and soy free for some time now that is also low in sugar. 

Thankfully, Health Warrior created a bar that was free from everything I needed it to be while remaining delicious and easy to take on-the-go.

I sampled one of each flavor (obviously) but my favorite for sure was the Dark Chocolate Coconut Sea Salt.  If you get a chance to check them out, do it. I promise you won’t be disappointed! 

PRO ALPHA NUTRITION

 

 

Last but certainly not least, Pro Alpha Nutrition which was developed by two doctors looking to provide intelligently designed nutrition both in superfood and protein form. 

Their Pro Alpha Greens is chock full of 20+ servings of fruits and veggies, probiotics, digestive enzymes to help with inflammation and it really is absolutely delicious. 

They also make a Pro Alpha Protein in both Chocolate and Vanilla which is a blend of pea and brown rice protein isolate.  The most impressive part about the protein is that it’s super smooth- not chalky or chunky.
