Pure LYFT Review & Clean Caffeine-tini

Through my relationship with Fit Approach I was given the opportunity to try Pure LYFT. Two samples were sent to me but I was not compensated in any way.

I was excited when I learned that I had the opportunity to try out Pure LYFT which are energy stir sticks that contain all natural, clean caffeine. You can make any beverage caffeinated simply by stirring Pure LYFT in!

So what exactly are the ingredients? Pure LYFT contains powder inside the stick that is zero calorie, all natural caffeine that is derived from the green coffee bean extract. They’re tag line is “clean caffeine” as it is has a clean taste with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives and as much caffeine as a tall cup of coffee.  Pure LYFT also contains a host of vitamins, as well as stevia extract to add a bit of sweetness.

How does it work?  When I received the sample I had planned to go for a run that morning so I swapped out my usual coffee for some Pure LYFT with water.  I wanted to stay hydrated but I also wanted to see what kind of burst of energy this gave me, the bonus being that I wouldn’t get dehydrated from it like I would coffee.  So I peeled back the label as instructed and stirred it in with a glass of water until it dissolved.

How does it taste? Mixed with water, it really does taste really clean as the advertise, no chemical or artificial flavors are present.  There is a hint of the stevia plant in it, which add some sweetness but not in a bad way. I didn’t get jittery from it either like I normally would when I drink coffee prior to a workout and I was able to perform as I normally would have without any unintended side effects (thirst, jitters, hunger pains- yes, I get those from coffee).

While the water and Pure LYFT combo tasted just fine, I thought that stirring the caffeinated stick into pre-workout green smoothie juice would be kind of fun, so I came up with a Clean Caffeine-tini!

Ingredients
  1. -1 cup of filtered water
  2. -handful of kale
  3. -1/2 diced cucumber
  4. -1/2 green apple
  5. -squirt of lemon juice
  6. -sprinkle of ginger
  7. -1 Pure LYFT stick
Instructions
  1. Combine and blend above ingredients together and carefully pour into a glass...or martini glass if your fancy ;).
  2. Take your Pure LYFT stir stick, peel back the label as instructed and stir in the clean caffeine powder until dissolved.
  3. Enjoy!

Overall Conclusion: I really enjoyed Pure LYFT and the taste really is clean and the ingredients are all natural, which I like. I love the fact that the Pure LYFT sticks are portable and you can caffeinated any beverage that you can imagine….think wine when you’re tired and out to dinner 😉 I can think of a few times off the top of my head where these would have come in handy when I was exhausted and out’n’about and didn’t have access to the liquid energy I needed. I don’t drink Red Bull or Monster or any of that other crap, so this would have been perfect! I can definitely see myself investing in a box just so I have a few hanging around for “emergencies”.
