Race Essentials You’ll Fall In Love With & #FitleticLove Giveaway!


This Saturday I will be running the Cupid Chase 5k, my first race of 2016!  I ran it for the first time last year and while it was freezing cold and the conditions were not favorable, I signed up again with hopes that this mild winter would promise a nicer race day this year. 

Apparently though, that was just wishful thinking as the forecast now says that there will be a HIGH of 2 degrees with a LOW of -7.  That’s literally the nature of Central New York though- sunny and 60 one day then snowing and below zero the next. 

Since it’s a Valentine’s Day themed race, I plan to dress festive- lots of pink head to toe including my new race essentials from Fitletic

I was introduced to Fitletic products at the end of last year when I tried out and reviewed their Fully Loaded Hydration Belt.  It’s great for carrying #allthethings that you need while on the run- phone, gels, chap stick and of course, water.  I was really impressed by all that it had to offer including race bib toggles and the no slip grippers on the inside.

Upon receiving them, my first thought was that all the awesome features from the Fully Loaded Hydration Belt were included in the design of each of these products.

For instance, the HydraPalm has a TON of room for storage just like the hydration belt except that it’s not worn around your waist, it’s carried in your hand! 

The nice thing being that if you’re not a fan of things around your waist or are going out on a quick run, this handheld is the perfect solution.

Must Have for Runners- Fitletic Hydrapalm #FitleticLove

One of my favorite features of the Fully Loaded Hydration Belt are the bib race toggles.  I HATE having to fool around with pins at the race.  I either always lose a pin before I can secure my bib or I pin it to my shirt totally crooked.  Usually this ends up with me looking like a fool as I frolic toward the finish- crooked bib, ugly running face and all. 

What’s nice about Filetic’s Race Number Belt is that it not only includes a fool proof way to attach your bib but it also has loops for things like gels or lip balm!

The other added bonus I love is the high visibility reflectors which is perfect for night races like Ragnar! 

My next Ragnar likely won’t be until the fall again but I will most definitely be rocking the HydraPalm and Race Bib Belt (along with gloves, a parka and snow suit) at my race this weekend.  Not only will I be pretty in pink but I will also be prepared- no need to remember safety pins or figure out what in the world to do with my keys!
