Recover Quicker With ISOPURE Aminos
Over the last year or so I have heard a lot about the benefits of tart cherry juice to aid in recovery after a hard training session but hadn’t really had the opportunity to give it a try, until recently.
Just a few weeks ago I was sent Isopure Aminos to review which combines tart cherry that has anti-inflammatory properties that that can help to reduce soreness following an intense workout.
This post is brought to you by Isopure. All thoughts and opinions are my own!
Isopure was created by two people who were looking to offer high quality protein and fuel to active individuals and athletes. They went from an operation that started with a cement mixer in a garage to a successful company that specializes in creating 100% pure whey protein isolate that’s lactose and gluten free as well as an amino powder that is a comprehensive formula designed to make the most of your recovery.
Like I mentioned earlier, Isopure combines the BCAA’s (branched-chain amino acids) along with Tart Cherry to speed up recovery along with L-Theanine which has a calming effect. These combination of ingredients make it possible for you to recover quicker and train harder the next day all while building muscle.
Isopure Aminos Breakdown:
- 5 grams BCAA’s per serving
- 700 mg Tart Cherry per serving
- 100 mg L-Theanine per serving
- 10 Calories per serving
It should also be noted that this formula contains soy and is sweetened with sucralose.
Trying such an innovative recovery formula comes at the perfect time since I am currently marathon training. I’ve been logging between 30-40 miles per week plus still hitting the weights and cross training with my sandbag in between runs.
I haven’t tallied the hours up in a while but it’s safe to say that a good percentage of my waking hours is dedicated to training right now so trying this out could not come at a more perfect time.
I was sent the Alpine Punch flavor to try and I have to say that it does tastes pretty good, it’s fairly sweet in flavor (due to the sucralose) but there is definitely a hint of tartness from the cherry. As much as I don’t mind the taste, I would prefer that it was sweetened naturally and made without soy- those are just my personal preferences though.
I also haven’t been using it long enough to say if it is helps me personally recover quicker or not but obviously I wouldn’t leave ya hanging!
Be sure to check back in a few weeks with an update on how it’s working as well as a recipe or two and yummy ways you can incorporate Isopure Aminos into your post-workout diet!
