Red, White & Blue Berry Chia Bar Bites {Gluten Free, Dairy Free}


Inevitably at every festive holiday party or gathering there is always that one person or mom who when above and beyond with the dish they brought to pass. 

They’re the one who always has their hair done just so, their outfit coordinated with the exact holiday colors and a tray full of triple layer jello shots or cake in the form of a Christmas tree or flag or whatever.  

These people are what I like the call the “Pinterest moms”.  I’m not one of them.  I’m more of a “Target mom”.

I’m usually one of those moms that throws her hair up in a ponytail, finds whatever clean clothes that aren’t leggings to wear and most of the time bring a bottle of wine to share.  Or at least some sort of easy, no fuss, doesn’t take me more than five minutes to make kind of dish. 

That being said, I also need it to be something on the healthy side and that I can eat just in case the rest of the menu is off limits.  Something like these festive Berry Chia Bar Bites pretty much fits the bill. 

They consist of just three ingredients, one of which is already pre-made and packed with superfoods; a Health Warrior Chia Bar

Red, White & Blue Berry Chia Bar Bites. A simple, allergy friendly festive 4th of July recipe made with Health Warrior Vanilla Almond Chia Bars, fresh berries and a drizzle of dairy free white chocolate.

Specifically, I used Health Warrior’s Vanilla Almond Chia Bar.  With only 100 calories, 4 grams of protein, 7 grams of fiber and just 4 grams sugar, it’s nutritious contents and flavors make it mini but all sorts of mighty as far as snacks are concerned.  

To make these, I actually cut the bar in half, topped it with either a fresh blueberry or fresh raspberry then lightly drizzled it with dairy free white chocolate for a festive flare.

Red, White & Blue Berry Chia Bar Bites


RECIPE 

Ingredients: 

  • 6 Health Warrior Vanilla Almond Chia Bars, halved
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Fresh raspberries 
  • Melted dairy free white chocolate (I used Charmed School Chocolate)

Directions: 

  1. Place the half of each bar on a tray then top with one fresh blueberry and one fresh raspberry in an alternating pattern. 
  2. Lightly drizzle with melted white chocolate. 
  3. Place in fridge for a few minutes to set. 
  4. Enjoy!
