Runners Who Wine Podcast Episode 4: Running When You’re Sick


Wine is the answer to everything including sickness, right?!
No? Well, worth a try anyway.

Wine or no wine, being sick sucks especially when you want to go for a run.  It’s the curse of being a runner….cold, flu, broken leg…we still want to go for a run and something a topic my Runners Who Wine Co-Host, Nicole and I chatted about when I was just down in Texas visiting her.

Deciding if you should suck it up and run or put your ego to the side and take a rest day is never easy – at least for runners.  Most people would use this as an excuse to park their buns on the couch and have a Netflix marathon while runners would well, prefer to run a marathon. 

So how do you decide? When is sick too sick to run?  Thankfully, Nicole and I have some answers including tips to keep you from getting sick, recipes to help boost your immune systemcold remedies that runners swear by and even Nicole’s cute little Homemade Vitamin Gummy Bears to get you back to pounding the pavement quicker!
