Wishing You A Very Happy Holiday Season!

It’s here! The holidays have finally arrived and things just went from busy to insanely busy.  There’s last minute gifts to get, ALL the presents to wrap and at least a million parties to attend so I am doing something that I haven’t done in almost four years of blogging…I’m taking a much needed break! 

Happy Holidays!

Yup, that’s right – I am going to put my feet up with my holiday compression socks on, eat all the Grain Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups and RELAX….well, as much as a mom can.

To be honest, it has been quite a stressful last few weeks.  On top of being responsible for buying #allthepresents, my oldest dog Duke was hospitalized for over a week and sadly passed away just a few days after coming home. 

To alleviate some of the kid’s sadness (honestly, his) my husband decided that we needed a puppy [enter me on the verge of a nervous breakdown here]…good thing he is cute.

He really is super cute but he’s also a TON of work….which only adds to my current chaos :) 

So you can see why taking a bit off a blogging break is so necessary.

Not only will this help to reduce the stress that the last minute craziness that the holidays bring but it will also allow me to be more present with my family and keep my head semi-attached.  My kids are more excited than ever about Christmas this year (I credit their age and this darn puppy) so I definitely owe it to them to spend the days leading up to Christmas making it the best holiday season yet.

Of course I am not going totally dark on social media.  You can find me on Instagram still posting running selfies, featuring quick workouts and easy last-minute recipe ideas …and probably me drinking a glass of wine or two :) 

I hope you’ll join me in relaxing and being more present this holiday season – I’ll be back after the New Year (or maybe sooner if I need a break from reality after Christmas).  As far as Wild Workout Wednesday with my blogging bestie at FitfulFocus is concerned, this will be the last linkup of 2017!
